Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Veterans’ Benefits Under Review
Jan 29th, 2010 by admin
A recent decision following a class action lawsuit filed by seven combat veterans, may result in benefits being provided to thousands of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans discharged with post-traumatic stress disorder. The class action suit alleged that the military illegally denied benefits to those discharged, at least in part, because of the disorder during a six-year period that ended October 14, 2008. The military has agreed to review the records of recent veterans discharged with PTSD and determine whether they were improperly denied benefits.
