If you receive Supplemental Security Income and you enter a residential institution, nuring facility or other kind of instution, you should advise the Social Security Administration as your benefits may be affected. Failure to notify the Administration could mean that you will be charged with an overpayment which you would be required to repay. You should also advise the Administration of your release from any of these types of facilities to ensure continuity of your benefits. You may also wish to visit the Social Security website at www.ssa.gov for answers to many other frequently asked questions. If you have questions regarding a Social Security Disability and/or Supplemental Security Income claim, please do not hesitate to contact me at www.ocalaw.com or contact us at 352-629-0480.
